La Pecera: A Beautiful Life
An ongoing project
An interdisciplinary exploration of the Cuban exile experience, generational trauma, and my own identity dysphoria. The original iteration of this project was a multimedia, installation art piece that remained open for a week in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater at Skidmore College. This installation included an interview with my Abuela (ft. family) playing on loop, family photos and stories in the windows, and housed a reading of a short original play.
